A Story of the Past

It is said that long ago, in a distant time and space, when legend and myths and also reality were combined into a natural and common form, the land was ruled by mystical creatures, objects with great powers and things that would amaze even a story teller. Back then the humans were just a part of this entire combination of magical, mystical and natural space, struggling to raise their head towards the light or darkness, or should I say to power. It is said that far away from here, somewhere in the deepest forest, between the great Two Mountains of The Light and near The Great Lake of Dulron, there lies a beautiful field covered with a blanket of dandelions that makes it look like a cloud resting on the wood. The latter, The Forest of The Magus, has its roots buried deeply into the darkness of the time; it is a witness of all of the battles, changes and shifts of time since the Big Creation. And as I said in the middle of it there lies the gorgeous« cloud » of dandelions that hides a mark of the greatest and most sanguinary fight ever known, even the historians calling it The Big Bloody Battle, which changed everything.
But let's not get hasty, there's a long way till we reach this. It is still too early. Will start with the beginning... the outset of changes. Beneath the darkish land of rock and snow, where the kingdom of eagles and the cold wizard of snow ruled, a flashing light stood in the heart of the forest. Fifteen years have past since King Christmas stood up and claimed the throne of the Branching Kingdom of the West. He was a great knight with such courage that amazed even the fearful trolls from the Icy Kingdom in North, those trolls who wore skulls and fingers as good luck necklace, those trolls that at even the hearing of their name all living creatures started to tremble. Those trolls were now the allies of King Christmas. But our amazing king was not only courageous but also a great and skilled warlock, thus he had studied the Great Teachings of the Silver Bear for twenty years before he come back in the country. When he returned, chaos and disorder ruled the land. He was now a middle age fir tree with knowledge and enough wisdom to change anything. But much was to be made, till he would reclaim what was his, the throne. The country was a disaster and poverty, thieves and disorder were the daily faces of the state. Bushes were gambling, oaks were beaten at the corner of the street and lime trees were slaves now. Thistles ruled everything. Fir trees where nowhere around. And thus our hero restored the most beloved peace in the whole kingdom, making once again the Branching Kingdom of the West one of the most magnificent and exquisite lands that was ever seen by this old world. How he did it is another story that I will tell you another time. Hence he became the greatest king ever known in the History of Leaves uniting the West Kingdom with The Twig Kingdom of the East, making thus what no ever known tree or shrub ever managed to do.
So fifteen years have past since King Christmas came to power and ruled with a rightful and powerful arm over The United Kingdom of Leaves. In the third night of The Moon of Falling Leaves a bright light came down from heaven flashing through the sky and bursting into millions of orange sparkles when it touched the ground. However a small gleam lasted long enough till an old black poplar reached it. In the middle of the reddish light an amazing creature stood smiling and making awful noises. It was a strange soul. It had a little bit of fur, no leaves and its rind was smooth and pink. Two black eyes were searching the place with a strange view of astonishment and innocence. It had only two branches and two short roots. It looked really funny to the old tree so he decided to keep it and take care of it. He called it the Human, from the humming noises that this creature was making. He raised it with love and wisdom. He grew faster than anything he ever knew, until this creature, the human was so powerful and skillful that fear started to claim a place in the old heart of the tree. Its curiosity and the will to know and conquer whatever he touched scared him and made him be more careful. One night the human left and was nowhere to be found. All this happened in the night of the Mystic Moon. Since then he had been wondering around the world gaining knowledge and creating strange and awful objects, things that not even the scholars could imagine. He was able to create fire, to manipulate it and to live in various places. He was a threat for the entire world. But when the elders tried to find him he was long gone. This was three years ago. Now the word of the creature fallen from heaven had disappeared and all plants and creatures lived calmly together. Till one day.
In the Night of the Black Eagle when it is said that snow comes to restore peace over the ground a stranger knocked at the palace gates asking to see the king. It was late in the night but King Christmas agreed to see this unknown. He offered him a hot meal and drinks and talked to him without knowing that under the stinking robe there was a rotten creature with a bloody imagination and intentions. The Human asked many questions and praised the king and at his leaving in his astonishment he received gifts from the king for his long journey... presents consisting of cloths and tools and also food. In ten days terrible news arrived at the gates of the city. A powerful army, an enormous killing mass was gathering under the dreadful command of the Human. They were going to attack the Kingdom of Leaves. Due to the large number of soldiers of the opponent army the King decided to call for help. He sent a message to all creatures and plants to come and together face this great danger that was called the Human. No one answered to his cry for help considering that it wasn't their battle, except the Land of the Pigs where the Great White Pig ruled and immediately ran to help the Leaves. The place where the battle took place was far away from here, as I said before, somewhere between the great Two Mountains of The Light and near The Great Lake of Dulron, where a beautiful field lies, covered with a blanket of dandelions that makes it look like a cloud resting on the forest. There where once the ancients used to gather for peace discussions, there where time seemed to stop, there where the greatness of nature seemed to be at her climax, The Big Bloody Battle was fought. The fight lasted for forty days and forty nights in witch both trees and pigs fought arm to arm against an evil and common enemy. They where crushed by the power gained by the Human, the power of fire, but died like heroes. King Christmas fought like the mythological Zeus but in the end he was put to silence by the cruel Human. At the end the cloud of dandelions crumbled releasing their bloom, that immediately covered the earth and the bodies in a cosmic link – trees and creatures returned to the Mother Earth, silenced by an alien enemy. Everything seemed to be covered by a blanket of snow. It was the Day of The Great Snow. Many died and many were wounded but in the end everything was lost. That was the end of trees and all creatures, and there is where the destroying kingdom of humans began.
Many years have passed since the historical battle, and everything has changed. Snow is coming from the sky not to bless the ground any more, but to cry and also it seems like in a burst of fury she's trying to freeze everything in her way, trying to stop once again the time and commemorate her martyrs, trying to end the kingdom of humans. It is the Day of the Great Snow now, and Humans rule the Earth. A strange tradition that emerged from distant and dark ages takes place nowadays. A big fir tree, a pin tree to be more specific, or as the humans call it now a Christmas tree is chopped down and embellished in a grotesque manner, pigs are killed and eaten and also above all, these presents are given in the name of Christmas...A shiver comes from the sky and embraces nature and creatures, making them to raise a single question - “What is Right?”
